Greetings For Our
Chairperson

2021 is here! With any new year comes new beginnings. As the new Chairperson for Seaford Tomorrow, I wanted to say “Hello!” and report out on our New Beginnings here at Seaford Tomorrow. I am very excited about the

year ahead as the Seaford downtown moves out of the many challenging COVID-19 restrictions and the cold weather makes way for the warmth of spring and summer.  I believe we are well positioned to take huge strides in making our Seaford downtown a thriving, inviting place for both our residents and visitors to our Town. Planning is underway for an exciting set of events in our downtown in the coming months, and our core team always has exciting and interesting ideas and concepts at our monthly meetings. We have launched a Guest Speaker program to engage with key leaders across Seaford to have the important dialogue for discovering where Seaford Tomorrow can have the most impact. Our first speaker was City Manager Charles Anderson, who described several exciting things happening in and around the City, several of which will impact and improve our downtown; the cornerstone of these is the Oyster House Park project, construction for which is ongoing now for the first phase. I am so pleased at the level of energy and excitement I see in the Seaford Tomorrow program, and am looking forward to being part of the progress in the year before us!

I love Seaford so much I moved here! I believe in the town, the people and all that it has to offer. From the local restaurants to the beautiful Nantiocke River, there is so much here to enjoy.  I can't help but want Downtown Seaford be all that it can be.

I've seen a lot of changes in Downtown Seaford over the years and I know it's the right time to make a positive difference.  With so much reinvestment on the horizon, Seaford Tomorrow can play an important role in bringing new life to the downtown.

— Joe Owens, Board Member and Facade Committee Chair for Seaford Tomorrow.

I work in Seaford and I know the great people that call it home.  Business owners here are local and I want to support them.  Together I know we can make Seaford one of the best small towns on the Shore.

The City of Seaford has so much opportunity for growth downtown.  Small to large businesses have a great deal of opportunity for financial support to get started.  Seaford is truly the Perfect Place to Start making dreams of business ownership come true.
